Text Message Terms

Uncovered Media, a media brand of Fiat Growth LLC ("we", "us"), runs two text-message programs. These terms apply to both.
Uncovered Alerts
Recurring texts about new Uncovered stories and episodes, news worth your attention, event invitations and updates about your subscription. You join by entering your mobile number on the Uncovered website (when you personalize your feed or in My Uncovered → Email & Texts) and ticking the text-message consent box next to it. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.
The Room
An invite-only, on-the-record discussion among executives who have appeared on Uncovered shows. Members who opt in receive a text when a room opens with a question about the news. They can reply by text to comment, confirm each reply before it is published on the Live page of the Uncovered website, and receive the other members' published replies while the room is open (usually 24 hours). We text only people who have agreed in writing, either by ticking the text-message consent box on the Uncovered guest release form or by replying "yes" to an email invitation from our editor. Consent is not a condition of appearing on any Uncovered show or of any purchase.
Message frequency and cost
- Message frequency varies.
- Message and data rates may apply.
Keywords
- Reply STOP at any time to stop all texts from that program. You will get one confirmation text and nothing after that. Reply START to opt back in.
- Reply HELP for help, or email brandy@joinuncovered.com.
- In The Room: reply MUTE to pause updates for the current room, UNMUTE to resume, and ROOM for the latest posts.
Publishing Room replies
Nothing you text to The Room is published until you confirm it by replying YES. Published replies appear on the Live page of the Uncovered website and may be quoted in Uncovered newsletters and shows, credited the way you chose when you joined.
Other terms
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Supported on all major US carriers.
- We may change or end either program at any time, and will tell participants by text if we do.
Privacy
We use your mobile number only to send the texts you signed up for. We do not sell it. Mobile numbers and text-message opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy on the Uncovered website.
